A Lecture on Feminism

Speaker: Successful feminism involves examining its core principles and its intersectional approach. While many women view feminist rage as a vital catalyst for social change, I adamantly disagree.

I do NOT believe “righteous rage” is helpful. Arrogant grandiosity is not the way to dismantle gender-based inequality. Feminists need to tone down the anger and employ non-confrontational conflict-resolution techniques, combined with active listening and structured dialogue, rather than hostility and blame.

I have spent my entire adult life pushing for equal rights, especially in the workplace, by respectfully and graciously requesting raises, promotions, and a salary equal to that of my male counterparts.

I truly believe that approaching people with understanding and politeness will open far more doors than anger, rage, or criticism, which only enable opponents to slam them smack in our faces.
